Abstract
T

his study aimed at investigating the difficulties facing computer networks, "Basics of Communication Systems". Sixty students were selected randomly from students of Computer Science section at Kafr-Elshiekh Higher Institute for Information Technology and were divided in to two random groups : experimental and control groups , 30 students each . The study used the experimental method and the following material and tools: A learning strategy based on Facebook for basics of communication systems in computer networks course. An educational interactive group for basics of communication systems in computer networks course. Test of knowledge achievement in basics of communication systems. The results were as follows : There is a significant difference between both groups in achievement in both post-application and difference between pre- and post-applications which refers that there is a significant difference between both groups at significance level (0.05 ≥) in achievement in post-application free of pre-application in favor of the experimental group being owner of the higher mean scores and the researcher attributes this for Facebook effectiveness. There is a significant difference between both groups in skill performance in both post-application and difference between pre- and post-applications which refers that there is a significant difference between both groups at significance level (0.05 ≥) in skill performance in post-application free of pre-application effects in favor of the experimental group being owner of the higher average and the researcher attributes this for Facebook effectiveness.
